چکیده

Pollen aperture type, shape, size, polar axis length, equatorial P/E ratio, colpus thickness of the sexine and nexine, S/N ornamentation lumen shape width were determined by using light scanning electron microscope. A multivariate analysis was carried out Gover’s general similarity coefficient UPGMA based on 3 qualitative 8 quantitative pollen characters for 43 taxa belonging to 30 genera 19 tribes. In all studied, grains generally small or medium-sized, tricolpate, except in Matthiola longipetala, with an inconspicuous aperture. The varied from prolate-spheroidal perprolate. exine microreticulate, reticulate, macroreticulate. some species, reticulate found together others, macroreticulate ornamentation. It seen that placed near each other dendogram partially supported tribes, such as Brassiceae, Alysseae, Sisymbrieae, Camelineae. is notable closely-related tribes dendrogram, which supports previous molecular studies. addition ornamentation, nexine thickness, length most useful characters. These characteristics can be used identify distinguish genera, species partly within family. They also provide detailed information Brassicaceae taxa, studied herein first time, this knowledge will comparisons future

Pollen Morphology of Some Turkish Crocus L. (iridaceae) Species

The genus Crocus L. (Iridaceae) comprises about 80 species distributed mainly in the Mediterranean region. It is widely dispersed in Turkey; at present about 67 taxa (including subspecies and varieties) are recognized there (Mathew, 1984, 1988, 1995, 2000; Kerndorff and Pasche, 2003, 2004). The Turkish Crocus species have received attention by several workers, who have concentrated mainly on mo...

MEIOTIC STUDIES OF SOME AVENA SPECIES AND POPULATIONS IN IRAN

Eleven populations of five Avena species were analysed for meiotic characters including chiasma frequency and distribution as well as chromosomal association and segregation. Plants of a single population of A. eriantha showed the presence of 2n = 14 (diploid) and 2n = 4x = 28 chromosome number. Populations of A. barbata and A. wiestii possessed n = 14, while populations of A. sterilis ssp. lud...
